I'm not sure if you will see this, but I wanted to let you know that you are an inspiration to me and I seemed to have found this blog by fate and at the most perfect time. I don't know your story, but I am 18. I danced all my life, everyday, in two performing companies until i was 15 and suffered an injury. I haven't danced since and it has killed me. Now, going off to college I have decided to pursue a dance minor. So many times I have almost decided not too, but the idea of getting back the joy and passion is too exciting. I need to do it. Anyway, I am extremely nervous about getting back into it: the flexibility, the turnout, the strength, the technique. You have inspired me and given me hope for the future. Thank you times a million.

I'm so glad you danced through your fears Alison :-) This could apply to some many creative things we love doing and tell ourselves... as we get older... that we can't or shouldn't - forgetting how much liberation comes when we just *do*

This post meant a lot to me. I'm 16, and just starting ballet for the first time this year, and I am both terrified and excited! I feel really inspired now, despite the fact that our stories aren't the same, I still feel that they are similar. Thanks for this ray of hope and happiness!
