Typically when you have a hole in your jazz shoes, you go out and buy or order a new pair. But what if you don’t have time to buy new shoes, like if you have a performance or competition the next day? Most dancers either have or know someone who has medical tape for injuries. For tan jazz shoes, you can use the skin-colored sports tape, or use white cloth tape and use bronzer to make it the same color as your shoes. For black shoes, find black electrical tape, or you can color duct tape or sports tape black with a permanent marker. Just put the tape over the hole on the outside, and put a little tape on the inside of your shoe on the other side of the hole so the tape doesn’t stick to your feet.
Brilliant.
You have any ideas for missing rubber on the bottom of tap shoes? A strip of mine came off a while ago, but I don’t want to have to buy new ones…
